Breathwork with Bridget Caragher

Therapist. Breathwork Facilitator.

Practicing breathwork changed my life. It taught me how to feel more deeply, live more fully, and deepened trust with my inner knowing.

Now, I’m honored to share it with others through both individual and group sessions, helping people like you reconnect with themselves in a meaningful and lasting way.

Hi, I’m Bridget—a therapist, seeker, creative, and co-owner of Green Door. I was introduced to breathwork by a friend in 2020, and what began as a personal practice quickly evolved into something much more.

After four years of engaging in breathwork practice, I felt a deep nudge to go deeper—not just for myself, but to hold this work for others. That led me to pursue formal training and certification through the Breath Liberation Society, an accredited program recognized by the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance.

Breathwork has helped me redefine what healing means.

For me, healing is the freedom to feel fully alive. This practice has expanded my capacity to sit with my emotions, connect more deeply with my body’s wisdom, and navigate life’s inevitable stressors with more grace and resilience. It’s widened my window of tolerance, allowing me to move through the world in a fuller, more embodied way.

Breath is sacred. It’s the bridge between our body, mind, and spirit—and when we breathe with intention, transformation becomes possible.

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is a somatic healing modality that uses intentional breath patterns to help regulate the nervous system, process emotions, release stress, and connect to deeper states of awareness. It can be a powerful complement to therapy, helping people release what the mind can’t always express in words.

Who is Breathwork For?

Breathwork is for anyone looking to reconnect with themselves, process stuck emotions, or explore deeper levels of healing, clarity, and self-awareness. It’s a beautiful practice for those who want to move beyond thinking and into feeling—whether you're navigating life transitions, grief, stress, or simply seeking more inner peace and embodiment.

You might benefit from breathwork if:

  • You feel disconnected from your body or emotions

  • You're processing stress, anxiety, or burnout

  • You want to complement therapy or other healing modalities

  • You’re curious about personal growth, spirituality, or emotional release

  • You’re seeking clarity, insight, or inspiration

  • You're healing from a loss, breakup, or major life change

  • You crave a deeper connection to your intuition and truth

Breathwork is open to all identities, backgrounds, and experience levels. No previous meditation or breathwork experience is required.

Common Breathwork Questions

  • Contraindications for Breathwork

Breathwork is not recommended for the following conditions unless cleared by a doctor:

    • Pregnancy

    • Epilepsy

    • Retinal detachment

    • Uncontrolled glaucoma

    • Uncontrolled high blood pressure

    • Cardiovascular disease

    • Family history of aneurysms

    • Strokes or neurological conditions

    • Severe osteoporosis

    • Any other medical, psychiatric, or physical conditions that would impair or affect your ability to engage in intense physical and/or emotional release.

Breathwork may cause physical sensations or emotional releases, and in rare cases, temporary amnesia. If you have concerns, consult with a healthcare provider before participating. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, pending your physician’s approval and our discussion.

  • Yes! Virtual breathwork is just as powerful as in-person work.

  • In a breathwork session, you’ll be guided through a specific breath pattern while lying in a supported position, either in person or virtually. Bridget will discuss with you your intentions for the practice and help guide you in the process. A curated playlist of music will be played to help enhance the active breathwork practice.  This active breathing is often followed by a period of integration—a time to rest, reflect, and simply be.

Each session is different—because you're different every time you show up. That said, common breathwork experiences include:

    • Tingling or tightness in the hands/feet

    • Emotional release (crying, laughing, yelling)

    • Shifts in body temperature

    • Memories or visuals surfacing

    • A deep sense of calm or clarity

You are always in control. You may pause or stop the breath at any time. I’ll be there to guide you, not to push you.

  • Breathwork doesn’t end when the playlist stops.

Integration is a vital part of the practice. After your session, I’ll offer:

    • Aftercare guidance (hydration, journaling, grounding practices)

    • Optional check-ins or referrals if deep emotions arise

    • Access to integration resources

  • The cost of breathwork varies based on the session type (individual or group, virtual or in-person). Please reach out directly for details about pricing and upcoming offers.

Breathwork is not covered by insurance at this time. However, many clients choose to use breathwork alongside their regular therapeutic care.
